Stop the Stigma
Become Mentally Illustrated

What?
Welcome to our nonprofit organization, mental health has long been a taboo topic, shrouded in mystery and stigma. It’s time to break the silence and open up the conversation around it. Our mission is to offer support and resources to individuals who are both mentally ill and creators – or as we like to say the Mentally Illustrated, utilizing artistic exploration with technology while actively engaging the community.
The genesis of our organization was born out of a deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by mental health issues. Witnessing the immense talent and potential of mentally ill creators, we were compelled to create a platform that would not only provide them with the necessary support but also empower them to express themselves through their art.
What pt II
We are working to solve the problem of mental health stigma. Stigma is a major barrier to people seeking help for mental illness, and it can lead to feelings of shame, isolation, and despair. We believe that art can be a powerful tool for breaking down stigma and promoting mental health awareness. Our society often fails to recognize the immense artistic talent and creativity that can flourish within individuals struggling with mental health issues. By showcasing the work of mentally ill artists and providing them with a safe and supportive environment, we strive to challenge preconceived notions and dismantle the barriers that hinder their artistic exploration.

Why?
The function of our organization is critical in many ways. By fostering mental health advocacy through art, we aim to create a space where individuals can freely express themselves, thus encouraging healing and personal growth. Through the use of technology, we explore innovative ways to amplify the voices of mentally ill artists, ensuring their work reaches a wider audience.
By actively engaging the community, we aim to bridge the gap between mental health awareness and artistic expression, ultimately promoting a more inclusive and empathetic society.
What/who?
Our audience primarily comprises individuals who are mentally illustrated, as well as anyone who is interested in using art to support their mental health, or who wants to learn more about mental illness and reduce stigma. We strive to create a supportive community that understands and appreciates the unique challenges faced by these individuals. Additionally, we aim to engage the broader community, including art enthusiasts, mental health advocates, as well as their friends, family, allies and those seeking to learn more about the intersection between art and mental health.

What pt III?
We believe that the most compelling information is personal stories. We showcase success stories of mentally ill artists who have found solace and empowerment through artistic expression. We also emphasize the importance of community engagement and how their involvement can make a tangible difference in breaking down mental health stigmas. When people hear about the real-life experiences of others who have been impacted by mental illness, they are more likely to take action to support the cause.
How?
We invite our audience to get involved with us in various ways. They can participate in our art exhibitions, attend workshops and seminars focused on mental health and artistic exploration, and contribute to our online platform by sharing their own experiences and artwork. We also encourage them to support mentally ill artists by purchasing their artwork and spreading the word about our organization’s mission.
